STAFF:

Our courteous warehouse staff has many combined years of experience,
and they know the warehouse and the contents intimately. Their primary
responsibility is to ensure that the merchandise is safe and well
cared-for while it is our custody. Warehouse crews are always
available by appointment to help our customers view, review and manage
their warehouse inventories (received or stored) in person.

SCOPE:

Standard receiving services include

• phone/fax/email verification of inbound shipments, where available
• supervision of the transfer of custody from the transport company
• inspection of the packaging for transport damage
• removal and disposal of packaging (some additional charges may
  apply)
• inspection of the merchandise for defects or concealed damage
• annotation of shipping documents
• initiation and follow-through to resolution of manufacturer's
  defect or damage claims
• inventorying the item including outside dimensions, description,
  and condition notes
• timely customer notification of the arrival and condition of the
  merchandise
• placement of the item(s) in storage inventory
• coordination with delivery department regarding final destination

Additional services, including digital photo notification, special
handling, COD or Collect Freight shipments, and repairs may be
arranged on request.

RATES:

Standard receiving rates are charged on a per-freight bill basis, and
in addition to the flat-rate receiving charge may include charges for
additional weight, crate handling/disposal, COD/Collect freight
surcharges, or special handling. Large and/or container shipments may
include an hourly component.
